Plenty of discounts start at 50 or 55, not 65. Most of them only work if you ask.

Many stores, restaurants, and travel brands charge customers over 50 less, but few advertise it. Age cutoffs run from 50 to 65, and most deals require you to ask at checkout or show a membership card. Our list shows where to ask and at what age.

We checked the grocery chains, pharmacies, restaurants, phone carriers, and travel brands people over 50 use most, and listed which ones cut the price and at what age. Some start at 50. A few need nothing more than a card you may already carry.
